STAND FAST ist ein PostHardcore-Quintett aus Münster, NRW, welches seine Liebe zu Bands wie alten Hot Water Music, Rise Against, Days In Grief, Alexisonfire und Thrice nicht verhehlt.

Die Formation bringt Newschool-Hardcoreelemente gekonnt in abwechselungsreiches Zusammenspiel mit eingängigen Melodien und wuchtigen Refrains. Es wird mehrstimmig auf Englisch und Deutsch gesungen und geschrien, was die Stimmung der Texte hergibt.

Anfang 2007 entstand Stand Fast als ein Nebenprojekt von Mitgliedern zweier Punkbands, um sich an neuen, unverbrauchten Ideen auszuprobieren und die eigenen musikalischen Grenzen auszuweiten. Und so erhob sich das Projekt schnell in den Hauptfokus der Musiker.

Die Energie, die sich auf den folgenden Liveshows (u.a. mit The Casting Out, A Wilhelm Scream, Strung Out, Polar Bear Club) verbreitete, wurde im Herbst 2008 auf dem Debutalbum “Know yourself in things you hate” eingefangen und im Herbst 2009 auf dem Bochumer Label “Fear the Crowd Records” veröffentlicht.

Nach zwei Touren und mehr als 60 Shows im In- und Ausland in den letzten zwei Jahren wurde im September 2010 (wiederrum auf Fear the Crowd) die aktuelle EP “Challenges” des Fünfers veröffentlicht.

Diese Band brennt darauf mit neuen Orten und Menschen Bekanntschaft zu machen und auf vielen Shows überzeugen zu können.
