»Warm Data« ist eine besondere Großstadtsinfonie, die mit Schwarzweißfilmmaterial in die belebten Straßen Torontos führt. Hier pulsiert jedes Einzelbild im Rhythmus der Dynamik urbanen Lebens – ein besonderes Kleinod, das der nüchternen Modellhaftigkeit von Welt, wie sie uns von quantitativen Daten („cold data“) offeriert wird, einen eigenwilligen ästhetischen Zugriff auf das System Stadt entgegenhält.

Die Künstlerin und Filmemacherin Natalia Kozieł-Kalliomäki greift in ihrer Expanded Cinema-Performance in die Projektion des 16-mm-Films manuell mit Live-Animationen ein: Mit zwei Overheadprojektoren, Papiersilhouetten und einer Vielzahl von Filtern entstehen Überlagerungen mit Farbe, Texturen und faszinierenden Mustern und schaffen eine dichte visuelle Erzählung.

"Warm Data" is a special metropolitan symphony, which leads through the busy streets of Toronto with black-and-white film material. Here, every individual image pulses to the rhythm of the dynamism of urban life – a special oasis that juxtaposes the sober exemplariness of the world as it is offered to us by quantitative data (“cold data”) with an independent aesthetic accessing of the urban system.
The artist and filmmaker Natalia Kozieł-Kalliomäki manually intervenes in the projection of the 16mm film with ...Mehr anzeigen live animations in her expanded cinema performance: using two overhead projectors, paper silhouettes and a multitude of filters, superimpositions with color, textures and fascinating patterns are created, forming a dense visual narrative.
