The Keller Theatre: Auditions for "Twelfth Night"

The Keller Theatre invites you to audition for “Twelfth Night”, a romantic comedy by William Shakespeare.

When: Tuesday, 9 June 2026, Thursday, 11 June 2026 and Thursday, 18 June 2026 at 7.30 pm

Where: Kleine Bühne, Bleichstraße 28, 35390 Gießen

We need…

on stage: 3 – 6 women and 5 – 8 men, open to everyone aged 18 and over

backstage:

1 assistant director/production assistant

1 – 2 stage managers

2 – 3 light and sound operators

Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and some ...Mehr anzeigen Saturday mornings.

Everybody is welcome, no experience or preparation is needed.

Performance dates: 20, 21, 27, 28 November, 4, 5, 11 December 2026

About the play:

After being separated from her twin brother Sebastian, Viola disguises herself as a young man and enters the service of Duke Orsino—only to fall in love with him. Orsino, however, is hopelessly devoted to Countess Olivia and sends Viola to woo her on his behalf, unaware that Olivia soon falls for Viola instead. Join us for a whirlwind ride through love, parties, and delightful confusion, all set to the jazzy rhythms of the Roaring Twenties in one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies.
