German-American Youth Exchange
In cooperation with „Auslandsgesellschaft.de“ in Dortmund – Buffalo's German sister city – the Buffalo-Dortmund Sister City Committee has been organizing this 3-week youth exchange for many years. This programm takes place during the summer and is not affilliated with public or private school programs in Western New York.
During the 2024 summer vacations, the young people from Buffalo will come to Dortmund and take part in the excursion and sightseeing program together with their German exchange students: Trips to Cologne, Amsterdam and Berlin, visit to the BVB-stadium and much more!
The return visit to Buffalo will take place in the 2025 summer vacation. The program includes excursions to New York City and Toronto, Niagara Falls and an amusement park.
During their visit the young people will stay with host families. This allows them to get to know and experience the culture, country and people first hand.
