Nach über 21 Jahren ist der Nachfolger zu "Loveless" endlich raus © My Bloody Valentine
1991 erschien mit Loveless das letzte Album von My Bloody Valentine; ein Jahr später löste sich die Band um Kevin Shields auf. Ein Nachfolgealbum zu Loveless, das schon damals in Planung war, wurde nie realisiert – bis jetzt. Dem NME kündigte Shields an, dass noch bis Ende dieses Jahres ein neues Album auf seine Homepage gestellt werden soll.
Dazu Shields: "I think with this record, people who like us will immediately connect with something. Based on the very, very few people who’ve heard stuff – some engineers, the band, and that’s about it – some people think it's stranger than Loveless. I don't. I feel like it really frees us up, and in the bigger picture it's 100 per cent necessary."
