Deeper into the Void - A Spelljammer Story
The fleet, crews, passengers and associates of the flotilla 'Classis Astraea' discussed further expeditions to explore new worlds and the origin of the mysterious void stones at an inn on Liberty Island. That was about one year ago:
The planning literally exploded into a spontaneous experiment. 'The last Barrel' inn had served its last Tortuga Libre. A group of wouldbe scientists emerged from the ruins to found a research organisation on the spot.
The Advanced Extradimensional Rift Investigation Society discovered residual energies and decided to fund a new building - including not only accomodations and tavern - but a research base to contain the remnants and further explore them.
For the prospect of the opening of the main tract, Port Liberty Press reports, that every like-minded person is invited. Alongside a lavish celebration, surely the next expeditions and experiments will be planned and some likely conducted on the spot. Everything could happen, when rifts through the multiverse are opened again...

Die Flotte, die Crews, Passagiere und Verbündete der Flotille „Classis Astraea“ diskutierten in einem Gasthaus auf Liberty Island weitere Expeditionen zur Erforschung neuer Welten und zum Ursprung der mysteriösen Void Stones. Dies war vor etwa einem Jahr:
Die Planung explodierte buchstäblich in einem spontanem Experiment. Das Gasthaus „Das letzte Fass“ hatte seinen letzten Tortuga Libre ausgeschenkt. Aus den Ruinen trat eine Gruppe angehender Wissenschaftler hervor, um noch auf der Stelle eine Forschungsorganisation zu gründen.
Die „Advanced Extradimensional Rift Investigation Society“ entdeckte Restenergien und beschloss, den Bau eines neuen Gebäudes zu finanzieren - welches nicht nur Unterkünfte und eine Taverne umfasst, sondern auch eine Forschungsbasis, um die Überbleibsel einzudämmen und weiter zu erforschen.
Im Hinblick auf die Eröffnung des Hauptgebäudes berichtet die „Port Liberty Press“, dass alle Gleichgesinnten eingeladen sind. Neben einer rauschenden Feier werden sicherlich auch die nächsten Expeditionen und Experimente geplant und einige davon wahrscheinlich direkt vor Ort durchgeführt. Alles ist möglich, wenn sich erneut Risse im Multiversum öffnen …
