RUINS from Tokyo Japan and ZU from Rome Italy have known each other, been around each other, and toured together since the late 90’s. Both bands are devoted to creating idiosyncratic forms that push music to its limits and break any genre and style boundary (you can call it prog-metal but it’s just scratching the surface). It was long overdue that they would conspire and collaborate at some point in history. So Ruins founder and permanent member, legendary drummer & vocalist Yoshida Tatsuya, and both Zu founders and permanent members Luca T Mai and Massimo Pupillo (respectively sax and electric bass) have formed the new creature RUINSZU and will tour Europe together for the first time in Spring 2024. They will play live both Ruins and Zu material and also new music that they started to write.

The result of these three wandering spirits being let loose in a converted barn in the Finnish countryside near Jyväskylä is ‘Lahbryce’,
the new and surprising Sum Of R album, the most disconcerting and colossal work the band has ever committed to tape by far.
Mixed by Victor Bullok, aka V. Santura (Triptykon, Dark Fortress), it will be released this late fall on the Belgium record label Consouling Sounds and it will turn the underground upside down.

Japalien exile, Gorgonn left Japan almost two decades ago.
The relentlessly raw sound of Gorgonn fuses drone, dub, noise and no wave into a fearsome
assault. Obsessed with texture and tone, he has amplified the dirt in sonics, the nastiness in
techno and the pure filth in analogue synthesis, to intimidating levels of intensity. His sound
has one foot in Jamaican dub, and one foot in underground techno’s frequency attacks.
Gorgonn is now pioneering a Sci-fi steppas sound, for lovers of dystopian death disco and
white noise, with the monolithic grooves output.
His full length album 'Six Paths' that was inspired by Japanese Buddhism's afterlife was
released on Svbkvlt label in 2023.
