Brooklyn-based saxophonist and composer Jonathan Reisin presents music from his latest release, Too Good X Unreality (Boomslang Records, 2025). The project focuses on the balance between simplicity and complexity, creating a space where composed material meets spontaneous improvisation. Performing as a trio with pianist Julius Windisch and drummer Francesca Remigi, the group treats each piece as an open conversation, moving between structured forms and freer moments. Together, they create music that blends their individual voices and keeps shifting in unexpected ways.
Reisin has collaborated with musicians such as Francisco Mela, Kris Davis, Anat Fort, Nate Wooley, and Cooper-Moore, and has performed at festivals including Vermont Jazz Festival, Forward Festival, M³ Festival, and Gangneung International Art Festival. Too Good X Unreality follows his debut album Option B (Habitable Records) and Earthquake (577 Records), a collaboration with Francisco Mela.
