INTER_SECTION #6 | Silencio – Stille INTER_SECTION mit Maria Colusi

Gemeinsam mit der argentinischen Tänzerin Maria Colusi lotet INTER_SECTION in diesem Projekt die Bedeutung von Silencio - Stille für Kommunikation und Veränderung aus. In Zeiten überhitzter Kommunikationsstrukturen setzen die drei Künstlerinnen auf das Potential von Schweigen als rezeptiver Geste und als Impulsgeber für kollektive Transformationsprozesse.
Das transmediale Duo Sabine Ercklentz (Trompete, Elektronik) und Claudia Schmitz (Bewegtbild und expandierende Zeichnung auf Skulptur, Unfolded Screen) entwickeln, in Kollaboration mit wechselnden internationalen Künstler*innen, raumbezogene audiovisuelle Echtzeit-Performances auf der Basis von Improvisation unter Einbeziehung gestischer und intermedialer Übertragungen. Dabei setzen sie in häufig Technologien ein, die vermittelnd zwischen den Handlungsabsichten der Performer*innen agieren.

Together with Argentinian dancer Maria Colusi, the duo INTER_SECTION (Sabine Ercklentz & Claudia Schmitz) explore the significance of silencio - silence for communication and change in this project. In times of overheated communication structures, the three artists focus on the potential of silence as a receptive gesture and as a catalyst for collective transformation processes.
The transmedia duo INTER_SECTION - Sabine Ercklentz (trumpet, electronics) and Claudia Schmitz (live moving image and expanding drawing on sculpture, Unfolded Screen) - develops, in collaboration with changing international guest artists, space-related audiovisual real-time performances on the basis of improvisation involving gestural and intermedial transcribtion. In their performances, they often use technologies that mediate between the performers' intentions.
