ACT: After more than a decade of carving out one of Australia’s most distinctive voices in alternative electronic music, Boo Seeka returns with his most personal and expansive project to date — Cigarettes on Sundown. Built across long days on the road, late nights in studios, and quiet moments away from the noise, the album captures the feeling of exhale. The title itself reflects the emotional centre of the record: the strange beauty that exists when the day is finally over — when the chaos settles, the sun drops, and reflection takes over. Warm, nostalgic, euphoric, melancholic, and deeply human, Cigarettes on Sundown feels less like a traditional album and more like an entire world built around memory, ritual, food, friendship, and music.

Led by Australian songwriter and performer Ben “Boo” Gumbleton, Boo Seeka has spent years evolving beyond the boundaries of indie-electronic music. Since emerging with breakout releases that would eventually accumulate more than 145 million global streams, ARIA Gold certifications, sold out national tours, and performances across iconic festivals including Splendour In The Grass, SXSW, Beyond The Valley and more, the project has continually shifted shape while maintaining its unmistakable emotional core. From high-energy electronic records to stripped-back acoustic moments and collaborations with artists such as Boy & Bear, Boo Seeka has quietly become one of Australia’s most versatile and enduring independent acts.

Now, for the first time in the project’s history, Boo Seeka enters a completely independent era.
