Songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Augustine’s warm combo of soulful falsetto, playful soundscapes and fragile love stories quickly made him one to watch after debuting with ‘Luzon’ in 2019. Born out of a love for groovy 70s melodies and contemporary chillwave, Augustine's bombastic and retro-scented indie pop has won him praise from Billboard, EARMILK, Rolling Stone, KCRW and Ones To Watch. His 2021 debut album 'Weeks Above The Earth' received two Swedish Grammy nominations for Best Album and Best Alt Pop. Growing up in Gothenburg with the poetry-laden music of Bob Dylan and The National, Augustine started writing lyrics and poems at age 9, before he got into music. Lyrics have remained an important element in his songs and he has been praised for his skill in delivering thoughtful, honest and melancholic stories straight from his own youth.
