Attic Ocean is a shoegaze band from Germany. With floating guitars, dense soundscapes and Hanni’s ethereal vocals, the band moves between dream pop and shoegaze, combining a melancholic atmosphere with songs about loss, hope and the beauty that can be found even in the darkest moments. Since their formation, Attic Ocean have built up an international following through their releases. The music video for ‘Lilies and Sea’, filmed in Tokyo has been viewed over 650,000 times on YouTube. For their EP ‘Retriever’, the band collaborated with Simon Scott (Slowdive) , who handled the mastering. In spring 2025, Attic Ocean supported on their German tour, before Mark Gardener (Ride) took on the mastering of the EP ‘I promise I’ll try everyday’ – a collaboration that underlines the band’s close connection to one of the most influential generations of shoegaze.
