Mortes

This is Mortes, the enigmatic and elusive "Duke of Darkness". Coming from a dark musical background, Mortes explores his deepest longings through a blend of grungy post-punk, danceable dark wave and hopelessly romantic gothic rock. The accompanying theme behind his vampiric character handles questions of mortality, love and pain through his lyrics and striking visuals.

Since his breakout performance at the EUROPEAN DARK DANCE TREFFEN 2024, he has become a definitive voice for a new generation of goth. After winning the newcomer contest for the M’ERA LUNA FESTIVAL 2026 he is returning this year to the big stages, including the CASTLE PARTY FESTIVAL and the STELLA NOMINE FESTIVAL.

Building on the success of his debut album Thorns and his second album The Hunt, which started the captivating narrative of a mystical immortal, Mortes is working in the shadows on his next album and part of the story The Mansion, that will feature post-punk songs made for underground stages and grand ballrooms to come.
