PLATAFORMA BERLIN schafft einen einzigartigen Raum, in dem neue und überlieferte
Erzählungen, ökologische Diskurse, geopolitischer Aktivismus und Ontologien des Globalen Südens entstehen und das globale/lokale Berliner Publikum zum Nachdenken anregen und ermutigen. Das Festival konzentriert sich auf BIPoC-Künstler*innen (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) und deren Lebenserfahrungen; erkundet intime Ausdrucksformen, verbunden mit den Vorfahren im Schatten geopolitischer und ökologischer Krisen.
„To Curate“ bedeutet auf Spanisch „heilen“; dieser kuratorische Ansatz schafft einen Raum für die Diversifizierung von Perspektiven und Blicken, der eine eine Vielzahl von Standpunkten und Begegnungen über Pluriversen hinweg ermöglicht.
Das Festival feiert 2026 zum 13. Mal interdisziplinäre Werke aus den Bereichen Tanz, Performance, Film, Essen, Heilung, kritisches Denken mit Künstler*innen aus Bolivien, Argentinien, Uganda, Ägypten, dem Iran, Kolumbien und Berlin.
PLATAFORMA BERLIN, gegründet von der kolumbianischen und in Berlin lebenden BIPoC-Choreografin (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), Performerin und Kuratorin Martha Hincapié Charry. Das Festival wird durch Partnerschaft und Koproduktion mit DOCK ART sowie unserer Partner BARAZANI und South Embassy ermöglicht.

PLATAFORMA BERLIN facilitates a unique space where new and ancestral narratives, ecological discourses, geopolitical activism and ...Mehr anzeigen Global South ontologies emerge, inspiring and encouraging the Berlin global/local audience to reflect. The festival focuses on BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists and their lived experiences, exploring intimate expressions and ancestral connections in the twilight of geopolitical and ecological crisis.
‘To Curate’ means ‘to heal’ in Spanish. This is what Plataforma Berlin and its curatorial approach are all about: curating a space for the diversification of perspectives, of gazes, enabling a multitude of viewpoints and encounters across pluriverses.
The festival celebrates for the 13th time this year interdisciplinary works devoted to dance, performance, film, food, healing, critical thinking, and celebration with artists from Bolivia, Argentina, Uganda, Egypt, Iran, Colombia and Berlin.
PLATAFORMA BERLIN was founded by Colombian BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) choreographer, performer and curator based in Berlin, Martha Hincapié Charry.
