Bio

ORANGE wie die 70’er mit ihren Müllautos, Sitzmöbeln und
Leuchtschriftzügen, wie die Südfrüchte gleicher Couleur,
SQUASHES wie schlagendes Schwingen oder pressendes Quetschen,
aggressiv, doch nie wirklich brachial,
aus dieser Gemengelage erwachsen
THE ORANGE SQUASHES, deutsch und fünftel-französisch,
rockig und reggaeös, nordisch-klar und romanisch-verspielt,
5 heterogene weiße Westeuropäer mit Hang zu jamaikanischem Offbeat
und Electro-Flow, mit unvermeidlichen 70ies-Rock-Wurzeln und
Rocksteady-Vergangenheit.
Die Folge: ein 70ies-Alternative-Rock-Steady-Reggae-
Soul-Electro-Lounge-Jazz-Funk-Cocktail,
unberechenbar und eigentlich unzulässig.
Und hoffentlich nie langweilig... Squash it in!

Tout droit venu de la Sarre, ce groupe franco-allemand,
créé seulement en Mars 2008, est la suite logique d'une ancienne formation :
"Kinky Brown - 60s Jamaican Music".
Pendant 4 ans, ils ont sillonné les routes de la Sarre et de la Lorraine
afin de faire revivre des reprises de rock-steady (ancêtre du Reggae).
Désormais, place à la création !
Toujours marqué de l'empreinte Reggae mais teinté de diverses touches
traduisant leurs influences communes :
rock alternatif, électro-pop, rock culte des années 70s, jazz, dub
et bien sûr rock-steady.
Un cocktail rafraichissant de "Reggae alternatif", à vivre "live"
sans modération !!!

«The Orange Squashes» is a new band in Saarland
(on the German-French frontier).
New but with "already" a lot of Live experiences.
The members are all coming from the band :

“KINKY BROWN – 60s Jamaican Music”

Kinky Brown was the only historical Rock-steady Band
of Saarland which played with power and soul
early Reggae cover songs all over the Saarland and Lorraine
between the years 2003 >>> 2007 (23 concerts !)

Now they want to play their own songs !!!
The music direction is always REGGAE music
but with a lot of different touches :
Alternative Rock, Rock-Steady, 70s Rock,
Jazz, Dub and Electro-Pop.
That’s what they call : the ”ALTERNATIVE REGGAE”.
