The Gecko

Die musikalischen Einflüsse von The Gecko reichen von Kraftwerk und Underworld über The Cure und Killers bis hin zu Hendrix und Led Zeppelin. Insgesamt stehen Gecko für einen Dancerock mit grossem Sound, der das Verlangen nach Ohrwurm genauso stillt wie das nach der ultimativen Gänsehaut und dabei sogar noch ordentlich das Tanzbein schwingen lässt!

In 2008 The Gecko evolved into the international animal it is today with:
Espin Bowder (vocals), Carsten Brocker (synths), Samuel Halscheidt (guitar)
and Pascal Gemmer (drums). In 2009 their first EP entitled Failure is Not an Option –
mixed and fine-tuned by the Strokes collaborator Gordon Raphael – scored plays
on radio stations locally and internationally, even though the EP was self-released!
The Gecko describe their music as a fusion of 2 (...) Mehr anzeigen001 Space Odyssey and Trainspotting.
They write intelligent, energetic synth and guitar driven anthems that sound like
