Bio

In an age where rock music rarely takes chances and song writers struggle to articulate meaningful lyrics, a band founded in Heidelberg, Germany by a native New Yorker looks to change all that.

superjones is a band on the move. Off the success of its sold out show in Heidelberg´s Schwimmbad Club in January and a successful New York tour last summer the band is about to release its first full length CD entitled things of that nature

Over the past year superjones has been performing throughout central Germany in bars, clubs and festivals. The band has made stops at several clubs including Heidelberg´s Schwimmbad Club, CAVE 54, Mannheim´s Broadway Theatre, and Karslruhe´s Substage.

superjones´ growing popularity landed the band as the headliner for three German American Festivals put on by the American Armed forces in Heidelberg and Darmstadt where the band has played in front of audiences of thousands of people.

The band also does a monthly show for its home based fans in Heidelberg at O´reilly´s bar which draws an international mix of Irish, English, American and German fans.

Founded in September 1999 by lead singer and New York native Kevin, superjones has been cutting its teeth in central Germany for the last two years. The band is a unique international blend with American front man Kevin backed by a German rhythm section with Tobias Christ on bass Torsten Jehle on drums and Oliver Klatt on lead guitar.

superjones is american rock with an alternative soul. The lyrics of each song tell stories in unconventional ways without the cliches associated with much of the modern music scene. The bands musical style ranges from soft introspective songs to full out guitar rock numbers. the result lets the listener enjoy a full spectrum of sound. The prorockative sound of superjones.
