Ambient, yet driving acoustic guitar riffs pave the way for the soulful lyrics and beautiful vocal stylings of this unique singer/songwriter. Based on existential experiences and the mystical journey of life, the songs written by Olly Knox transport the listener to a peaceful, faraway place, and with a style often described as being similar to TOOL, he creates an airy, meditative atmosphere during his performances.

His album The Olly Knox Experiment - Unified Theory of Existence has just been released on iTunes and through Savvy Music Worldwide. Based in Dargaville on Northland's west coast he has been performing locally and around New Zealand for years in venues and festivals, and makes regular trips to Auckland to perform. 

Knox also toured NZ earlier this year with his other band The Coincidences, and is becoming widely known throughout New Zealand, playing alongside artists such as Anna Coddington, Auckland ukelele trio the Nukes, and soul folk artist Panda. 


Live/Resident History

Olly Knox has played around New Zealand locally and touring nationally since 2004. Recently he has performed at Prana New Year Festival 2011, and is booked to perform at the Northland Music Festival in May.
In June he is leaving New Zealand to tour Germany, France, England and Canada on his "Flax Tour", promoting his new self titled album due to be released in May this year.
